Who We Are

Meet The Farmers

Vince Boddicker

Vince grew up on and later owned a family farm near Parkston, SD. After 17 years of successfully operating a diversified grain and livestock operation Vince decided to fulfill one of his missions of establishing a cash grain and livestock marketing business.  He's been with Farmers Trading Company and Midwest Grain Marketing as a broker for over 30 years. He is well-versed in the livestock and grain markets, in addition to trading and monitoring the majority of commodity futures markets. Vince is available to assist producers with market analysis and charting, as well as providing presentations on current market trends.

Andrew Streff

Andrew grew up on his family’s corn and soybean farm northwest of Salem, SD where he continues to farm with his parents. Throughout his involvement on the family farm, Andrew developed a passion of assisting farmers and investors with marketing their crops and livestock. Andrew is excited to help farmers navigate the market volatility to ensure they can always make the most well-informed decisions possible.

Connor Brockhaus

Connor grew up in the suburbs of Omaha Nebraska. From a young age he enjoyed life on the farm with his grandparents. In 2018 he moved to Mt. Vernon, SD and is currently living on and running the family farm. He always has enjoyed the numbers and analytical side of farming and that led to a career in commodity marketing. Connor’s goal is to help producers understand the markets and how they can be put to work in their specific operation.

ABOUT US

Risk Management for Producers

Farming is an industry dependent on factors beyond the producer’s control, such as weather, disease, politics, supply and demand. Managing your risk is becoming essential in agri-business.

Midwest Grain Marketing will help you use the futures and options market to provide forward pricing opportunities to manage market risk. Even if you choose not to use the futures market, you benefit by understanding how it works – you will be more effective at marketing your hard-earned yields.

Risk management allows you to take advantage of prices that are profitable, and not have the worry of delivery obligations.

What People Say About Midwest Grain Marketing

Brad F Viborg, SD

Farmers Trading and Midwest Grain Marketing are great to work with. Vince and Andrew are very knowledgeable and up to date on what's going on in both local and global markets.

Matt Baker Mt. Vernon, SD

I have been with FTC since 1998. When I attended Mitchell Vo-tech during that time, FTC was there and eager to teach us beginning farmers how things worked with the futures market and helped us understand the risks and rewards involved.
